What Balance Means Here

Running the Test Safely

Close the door fully, unplug the operator, then pull the release cord while the door is down. Never pull it with the door up. Lift the door by hand to about waist height and let go slowly, keeping your fingers off the section joints and your feet clear of the path underneath.

Reading the Result

Stays where you left it: the counterbalance is set correctly and any complaint you have is with the operator, the sensors or the settings. Drops toward the floor: the springs are weak or one has failed, and the door is heavy at every point.
